I am a psychologist and cognitive-behavioural therapist. I am an Associate Professor at the Institute of Psychology, University of Wroclaw. I am head of the Nutritional Psychology Unit as well as EAT Lab (Eating Behavior Laboratory) at the University of Wroclaw.
I was a laureate of the “START” scholarship for young scientists of the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP) and a French Government scholarship holder. I have been invited to deliver guest lectures at foreign universities (Paul Verlaine University – Metz, University of Nantes, University of Bordeaux, Univerisity of Pavia, Stanford University).
I am the author of over 100 scholarly publications (in Polish, English and French), a member of the editorial board of “Eating and Weight Disorders – Studies of Anorexia, Bulimia and Obesity” and a member of the reviewer board of “Nutrients”. I am a guest editor of the Special Issue Psychology of Eating: Understanding of Eating Behaviours, International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health.
I am experienced in the therapeutic work with patients with eating disorders and their families. I finished a specialised, four-year training in the cognitive-behavioural therapy of adult disorders in the Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy Centre (CTPB) in Warsaw in cooperation with Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre (OCTC). I have also completed formations in the Ericksonian therapy in the Polish Erickson Institute. In addition, I have finished the Postgraduate Course in Art Therapy of the Polish Erickson Institute and the Polish Committee of the International Society for Education through Art.
